Yoga has more and more followers and has become one of the most popular sports. This discipline has multiple benefits for people’s physical and mental health: it reduces stress, improves breathing, strengthens the immune system, increases flexibility, improves balance and strengthens muscles and bones.
Now that the good weather is here, the capital of Madrid offers us a multitude of outdoor places where we can practice yoga. If you are also a lover of this sport, discover these places so you can practice everything you have learned.

Temple of Debod
Originally from ancient Egypt, specifically from the 2nd century BC., the Temple of Debod was a gift from Egypt to Spain to prevent it from being flooded after the construction of the great Aswan Dam. Around this temple we can find some gardens that are the perfect place to practice yoga while contemplating this beautiful ancient work.
El Retiro
El Retiro is one of the most beautiful parks in the capital of Madrid and also the ideal place to enjoy a bit of yoga in tranquillity. You can also go on your own or in company to practice this discipline. Or you can join one of the groups that regularly offer classes at the Retiro, some of which are free of charge.
Parque Juan Carlos I
One of the most popular places in the city to practice yoga outdoors. The Juan Carlos I Park has nearly 160 hectares where you can do this sport without anyone bothering you. As in El Retiro, there are many groups that organize yoga classes during the weekend to practice it in company.
Madrid Río
Madrid Rio is one of the Madrid capital’s favourite places for outdoor sports, so it’s also the perfect place to practice yoga. Moreover, after enjoying this activity, you can round off your day with a bit of leisure or a delicious meal in the Plaza Río 2 shopping centre.
Furthermore, in the Meet up application you will find different groups you can join to practice yoga in Madrid.
