Architecture lovers will particularly enjoy the miniatures, such as that of the Neues Museum, an example of an old building renovation that, destroyed after the Second World War, shines again thanks to Chipperfield’s work. Another example is the Cemetery of St. Michele, in picturesque Venice, where the architect carried out Recinto XXIII with the sobriety and simplicity he is known for.
Spread over two floors, the exhibition shows a large number of miniatures, which is the best way of discovering an architect’s work, alongside an audiovisual supporting feature on the intervention carried out at the Neues Museum.
The exhibition is on until the 24th of January at the ICO Foundation headquarters on Paseo del Prado, 4 (20-minute walk from our hotel in Madrid Sol). Entry is free.
