Alcalá de Henares te espera

The old town of Alcalá is filled with attractions, such as the mere fact of walking around it. One of the best places to do that is the Calle Mayor, the high street, with a characteristic medieval appearance and filled with bars. It leads to Calle de Libreros, which is the location of one of the most emblematic buildings in the city, the School and Church of the Jesuits, which is also the School of Law and Church of Santa Maria.

A World Heritage Site since 1998, Alcalá offers many places of interest, such as the famous Corral de las Comedias, which is the central square of Cervantes where you can enjoy guided tours for just 3€ from Tuesday to Sunday on a split timetable (more information at +34 918 821 354).

Alcalá University, which made this city chosen by wise men famous, is another interesting visit. You can enjoy a 45-minute tour and have access to places of historical and monumental interest, such as the San Ildefonso Hall of Residence. More information at +34 918 821 354 or on this link).

Alcalá is barely 50 minutes away by train from Sol station, which in turn is a stone’s throw from our hotel on Calle Arenal. Alcalá is well worth an afternoon visit.
